New Features, New Textures, New Headaches


We made a bunch of small changes as we progress towards a stable shooting/damage system. Objects now explode into chunks that scale with perceived size (basically objects closer to the camera appear bigger and thusly the chunks they produce are scaled up). Chunks now also inherit the texture from the parent object, making for a pretty cool visual. We are using a script from some UCLA students that turns 2d images into 3d meshes, and that's how we made the incredible looking tractor (thanks to FridgeMagnet for the tractor art! he also did the archery targets and all the textures). Additionally, we've started to map out the opening menu and the overall flow of the game. More stuff is in the works and necessary groundwork for future systems is progressing nicely.
